KJC at V22 Summer Club

I have posted the Pictures from our first KJC workshop on the KJC blog: http://theknittedjunglecollective.wordpress.com/

It was a lot of fun and everyone who came was great. It went really well despite French Knitting on our homemade bobbins being a bit trickier than anticipated.

The bobbins were made with a role of card about 2.5 cm diameter, elecrtical tape and 6 paper clips. You could probably use any tape but the electrical tape is decorative as well as practical. Bend the paper clips out slightly before securing, with the tape, to the roll of card. For a full tutorial on how to french knit I recommend this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OUP0CkjBKs.

The KJC workshop/discussion that I facilitated as part of Alternative Art College's Education as Experiment was not so successful. I am still processing it and working out what happened and why. I hope to write myself some feed back on the KJC wordpress sight soon. I am always tempted to just erase things from my mind and ignore them if they don't really go as planned but I have decided that it would be much more interesting, challenging and constructive to think about and deal with it. It is a new experience for me. I hope the outcome is positive.
